2010 WMS Band Handbook Volunteer Sheet

Last 3 pages of the handbook (Handbook Acknowledgment Form, Student Info. Sheet, and WMS Band Parent Volunteer Sheet) are due Friday, August 27. For your convenience separate links have been added for the three signatures pages.  This is your child’s first test grade.  100 if all turned in, 0 if not.

ALL supplies (Foundations for Superior Performance book, accessory items purchased through music store) must be purchased by August 27.

ALL fees (school instrument rentals) must be paid by Friday, August 27. 
1 instrument = $50.00/year, 2 instruments (home/school) = $75.00/year      Please remember, cash only.
 
In-class rehearsal for Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band will begin on Tuesday, August 24.  Please make sure your child brings their instrument and Foundations book to school on this day and is ready to rehearse!

We will be checking-off all students supplies starting Tuesday, August 24 – Friday, August 27.

Sectionals will begin August 30 for all Wind Symphony (WS=gold) and Symphonic Band (SB=green) members.  Again, these are mandatory for all students.

Lastly, we had a great response from parents in regard to private lessons at our meeting last night!  As I continue to finish coordinating private lesson schedules for the year, I will email or call you individually with the time and date of your child’s lesson.  If any of you are interested in enriching your child’s instrument-playing experience please consider private lessons.  We are so fortunate to live in a metroplex with invaluable resources (professional musicians)!  We have private lessons available for all instruments before, during, and after school.  For more information and scheduling you may contact a director at WMS.
